MyMessages is a web based messaging application that provides similar functionality to the My Messages section of eBay.

Message Authoring:

• Choose one or more DNN security role(s) or user(s) to send a message too
• Define your own message categories and categorise emails you write
• Specify a priority to control the order in which messages are displayed in a users message box
• Restict a user Deleting a message without seeing the detail view
• Require a user to Acknowledge that they have read a message
• Set an Expiry date for messages. Expired messages are automatically invisble to users.
• The message body is rendered to a web browser so you can assume you have full HTML control of how messages are displayed. You can for example include scrollable DIV tags, Macromedia Flash and any variety of other media files.
• NO SPAM - messages to your users are not sent via email
• (new) Reply to a message or compose a simple message to another user.

Message History:

• Each message that is sent is recorded in an audit trail so you know what was sent, by whom and to whom.
• Messages collate statistics as users read them.
• You know how many users received your message, how many have read, acknowledged or deleted it.
• (new) View detailed reports of users who've read or who have not read a message.

Summary Emails:

Most users ofcourse do not come back to your site to see if they have any messages. You can easily send a regular reminder which summarises each users messages and reminds them to come back and visit the site to read the details of specific messages.

The summary email sent, is a fully customisable and based on a HTML template.
